Blips, blops and pixel blocks – that’s session #14 in a sentence right there.

The recap of our previous session is late, but not forgotten. Please be assured we haven’t been sipping piña coladas by the beach (sadly!)…

Hello! We lost no time preparing this session’s recap. Spring was being shy last friday, but we still had a great time.

One year has passed – and on session #11 we celebrated past and future.

Recap alert! While some were busy railing against piracy and illegal downloading, we gathered all the songs played on Session #10 in a convenient ZIP file for easy download.

Last December, Phlow Magazine – a reference in the free, creative commons music culture – made the most exciting advent calendar.

Surprised? Yeah, it’s only been a few days, but we already have the recap of Green Tone Bits: Session #9 ready to go.

Session #8 was all about the iPod – and we sure made some iPods very happy with the exclusive playlist we lined up to share on that night.

Session #7 playlist was exciting and coherent – including some sleek, hip-hop infused tunes, as well as some new releases ranging from electronic to more folksy sounds.

After a well deserverd break, Green Tone Bits is finally back. We had time to get some rest – and to find some more precious gems of free digital music.

As usual, Session #5 started off slow and folksy, but ended with 8-bit infused beats and glitches.

The first hour of session #4 was totally dedicated to Merzbau, paying homage to the now-defunct netlabel. From there, and up to the end, #4 got a bit more dancefloor-friendly.

#3’s set started with a slow warm-up with lots of Electronica, Indietronic, Folk-Acoustic and Pop songs. The pace did get faster and stronger – and the last hour was almost entirely dedicated to chiptune music.

Another month, another Green Tone Bits session, another terrific evening – this time with a proper DJ booth, and no espresso machines or cutting boards involved.

For those of you who missed Green Tone Bits #1: all and all, it was a success, despite a delay due to a technical problem.
